Yonder shop is a well designed space with unique, lovely, approachably designed items for your home, yourself, and your family. Every object in the store is selected because it has a story to tell. The approach is it's either well-designed, handmade, useful, beautiful, often all of the above. The aesthetic is modern while remaining warm and inviting.  There is a selection of the most contemporary makers in ceramics, mine and many others, and so much more to be explored and enjoyed. I am committed to being continually on the hunt for inspiring designers/makers who have a passion for what they do.

The storefront space was designed for flexibility.  Imagine a gathering place able to host monthly events showcasing great talent, gallery shows, and community events workshops, and trunk shows.

Michelle Summers describes her work as a journal of her life’s journey, both lived and imagined. At first glance, her decorated porcelain vessels seem innocent and playful. Often however there is a subtle if not subversive message waiting to be recognized beneath what is presented.

Michelle Summers is a Pacific Northwest native. She received her MFA in ceramics from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 2014 and her BFA in ceramics from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 2005. She has participated in residencies at The Northern Clay Center and The Archie Bray Foundation. Currently she is working as a full time artist and freelance teacher in Helena Montana.

“I am fascinated by the complexity and mystery of the mind and spirit housed in the body. Through my work I depict the abstract spaces and characters that exist within the confines of one's conscious and subconscious. I often touch on topics of identity, perception, fantasy and yearning. My work at first glance seems innocent and playful, and sometimes is simply that. But often there is a message waiting to reveal itself to the viewer if they question and reflect upon what the images might mean. Whether or not a narrative emerges to the viewer, the feeling of a weightless dream like world is always present in my work.”—Summers
