Yonder shop is a well designed space with unique, lovely, approachably designed items for your home, yourself, and your family. Every object in the store is selected because it has a story to tell. The approach is it's either well-designed, handmade, useful, beautiful, often all of the above. The aesthetic is modern while remaining warm and inviting.  There is a selection of the most contemporary makers in ceramics, mine and many others, and so much more to be explored and enjoyed. I am committed to being continually on the hunt for inspiring designers/makers who have a passion for what they do.

The storefront space was designed for flexibility.  Imagine a gathering place able to host monthly events showcasing great talent, gallery shows, and community events workshops, and trunk shows.

SUMMER THURSDAY SESSION -- hand-building ceramics

Thursdays  6:30-9pm  --  JULY 18 - SEPT 5

This 8 week session is designed for complete beginners thru intermediate students. This in-depth session will cover all of the building block techniques in hand-building in clay that you will take with you throughout any future practice with clay in any studio.  We do not throw on a wheel, but focus on a number of ways to create forms through pinch, coil, slab work.  Hand-building allows you to work with little investment and tools to create beautiful pots

After the basic overview in the first 2 weeks, we will put those techniques to use in building a number of forms from cylinder vases, cups, mugs and pitchers to apply all aspects of these techniques over the following 4 weeks and finish off with a glaze demo and instruction.  I will provide one on one instruction, provide resources and there will be time special projects for those who want to try something new!

Included as part of the class is a weekly two-hour studio session supervised by me for additional support and instruction.

first bag of clay, tools provided, glazes and firing of all work made in the class session and studio hours.

  • Class fees are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
